Leaf Sweeping

It was a very cold and misty day on Saturday 17th as we got to work sweeping the leaves off the Watling footpath through the common. We also did the steps and Columbine paths. It was then time to celebrate Christmas with a buffet and raffle. Here’s to 2017!

Flora Inspection

In November we cleared away brambles and other foliage from around existing younger trees on the common to allow them to grow. We also looked at the local flora, listing the species. We hope to organise another full survey of the habitat at some point.

Quiz Evening

We are pleased to announce that we raised £162 towards Rede Common. Many thanks to all who attended our fun evening. The money will go towards making the common a better place as we move towards becoming a nature reserve.

Fun Day

This August bank holiday we had a fun day on the common with wood turning and bug hunting which many people attended and enjoyed. We try and do an event on the common each year to bring the community together.It was nice to see families and guests on-site praising volunteers Read more…

McDonalds Helps out!

Cameron helps out
