Leaf Sweeping

It was a very cold and misty day on Saturday 17th as we got to work sweeping the leaves off the Watling footpath through the common. We also did the steps and Columbine paths. It was then time to celebrate Christmas with a buffet and raffle. Here’s to 2017!

Flora Inspection

In November we cleared away brambles and other foliage from around existing younger trees on the common to allow them to grow. We also looked at the local flora, listing the species. We hope to organise another full survey of the habitat at some point.

Quiz Evening

Pathway Clearing

It was a cold morning on Rede Common this April but we soon warmed up when we decided to clear the pathway on the south of the common. We don’t use this pathway much so it was a nice change to work there. We picked up some litter on the stretch from Hyacinth to the…

Cameron helps out

We managed to get lots of rubbish cleared up on our work day on 19th March. We cleared up the Columbine Close entrance, the stepped entrance on Watling Street and the woodland near Hyacinth Road. We had some help from Cameron who is doing his Duke of Edinburgh Award. Thanks Cameron!
